Agreements:
Sex & the City
Wall-E -- loved it even more the 2nd and 3rd time around.
The Dark Knight
Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Disagreements:
None...guess that's why we're friends! Well, I wasn't a super-fan of IronMan, but I appreciated it as a good summer blockbuster. Oh, and Made of Honor...seriously? I'm assuming this is because you are harboring a huge Patrick Dempsey crush or something. :)

Haven't seen but they are on the list:
Slumdog Millionaire
Frost/Nixon
Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Milk
Rachel Getting Married

Guess I'd better get to the movies! I have some serious catching up to do...

To the extent that I've seen these movies, I have to agree with most of this. A couple of notable agreements/disagreements:

Leatherheads: One of the worst movies that trying to be a good movie that I've seen in a long time. Boring, annoying, frustrating. Well done for including it on the worst list.

Quantum of Solace: I'm going to have to disagree with you on this. I may have been the only one who liked this movie. Admittedly not really a Bond movie in the usual tradition but when taken into context with Casino Royal I really liked it. Has the makings of a great trilogy if they continue the plot in the next movie.

27 Dresses: I agree, don't let Jaime know though.

Iron Man: Best action movie of the year (I don't really consider Dark Knight to be a pure action movie, it was something more). Best comic book movie except maybe X-Men.

In response to the 27 Dresses comment, Jaime insisted that I add that I was just disappointed it didn't live up to the standards of "13 Going on 30" or "Blue Crush." I, of course, strongly deny this.

Two movies left off your worst list were Semi-Pro and Vantage Point. Semi-Pro was tolerable, but Vantage Point was, in a word, AWFUL!

HA! Chip loved Vantage Point... :) To each his own, I guess.

Update on my last posting: Saw Slumdog Millionaire last night. Absolutely loved it. Should def get a "Best Picture" nom in my opinion.

I will defend my MADE OF HONOR choice as a movie that is admittedly terrible but I just had so much fun when I went to see! It's pure girl entertainment and it stood out as one of my best movie-going experiences of the year.

As for 27 DRESSES Dave, it totally didn't live up to its potential! I thought it was the laziest movie effort of the year.

In terms of QUANTUM OF SOLACE, i just was very disappointed with the storytelling, the basic plotline and yes, the missing Bond elements that I thought CASINO ROYALE did a great job of interweaving with a new kind of Bond movie. Sage and I argued over this movie for ages, so you are not the only one!

Mara- whatever. hater.

And yeah- apparently SEMI-PRO was bad but I didn't go see b/c I was watching the awful BOLEYN GIRL instead...and VANTAGE POINT was middle-of-the-road for me.
